The work is hand signed in pencil "L. Foujita" in the lower right margin
and hand inscribed in pencil "EA" (Epreuve d'Artiste = Artist Proof ) in the lower left margin.
It was printed in a limited edition of 80 impressions.
Foujita was commissioned by Jean Cocteau to illustarate his publication titled 'La Mésangere'.
The publication incorporates 22 works by Foujita and was published by Pierre de Tartas.
